Mark Lynch, PGA
Vice President, Operations

Mark joined First Tee – Greater Richmond in February 2016 and is currently the organization’s Vice President of Operations, overseeing all three facilities (Belmont, Elson Redmond and The Tattersall Youth Development Center), including daily operations, staffing, food and beverage and agronomy.

Prior to receiving his current promotion, Mark led the day-to-day operations at Belmont, helping reopen the facility in May 2021 and fostering a welcoming culture that saw over 20,000 rounds played at Belmont in just seven months.

A Class A PGA Professional, Mark has been instrumental in leading equipment fittings and sales at all three First Tee – Greater Richmond facilities, as well. In that role, Mark also oversees the organization’s PGA Professionals and Associates.

An Army Officer with 10 years of active service, Mark came to First Tee – Greater Richmond due in large part to identifying with its core values and being able to share the game of golf with everyone.

Mark is currently a Major in the US Army Reserves, having seven years of tenure. His 17 total years in the military have included multiple deployments, Company Command and support to Special Operations.

A SUNY-Potsdam graduate, Mark is an avid Syracuse fan and is hoping for one more run under Jim Boeheim. Mark and his wife, Lauren, welcomed their son Wells in Feb. 2022.
