Lauren Velardi
Chief of Staff

Lauren joined First Tee – Greater Richmond in July 2023 as Chief of Staff and now oversees the organization’s three golf facilities, leading operational strategy and facility management.

A graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Psychology, Lauren spent a decade at WNRN-FM, a public radio station in Charlottesville, where she advanced from intern to Director of Philanthropy. In that role, she led fundraising initiatives and strategic partnerships to support the station’s growth.

With a passion for creating accessible and engaging community spaces, Lauren is committed to ensuring First Tee – Greater Richmond’s facilities serve golfers of all ages and skill levels. She works closely with facility leadership to refine operations, enhance member experiences, and support the organization’s youth development mission.

Originally from Newport News, Lauren now resides in Richmond. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, cooking, and spending time with her Boston Terrier, Gus.
