Kelly Brown
Vice President, Impact
Kelly grew up in Virginia Beach, VA where she was the only girl on her high school golf team. She joined First Tee – Greater Richmond in 2018 and in her role as the Vice President of Impact she is responsible for leading the strategic direction for youth programs, developing community partnerships, and ensuring a positive and rewarding organizational culture.
Prior to joining First Tee – Greater Richmond, Kelly worked for IMG where she served as Tournament Director for LPGA Tour events including the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in Green Bay, Wisconsin the home golf course for the Oneida Nation and Green Bay Packers.
When she is on the course, Kelly enjoys playing at all three First Tee – Greater Richmond Facilities – Belmont, Elson Redmond and The Tattersall Youth Development Center – along with Willow Oaks, Lake Chesdin and the Club at Viniterra.
Her travels have taken her to golf destinations around the world, including Carnoustie and The Himalayas Course at St. Andrews, TPC Sawgrass, Mission Hills and Golden Ocala.
Off the course, Kelly enjoys hanging out with her wife Heather, and their dog Keeley, and running, traveling and spending time with family.
Kelly received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Longwood University where she was a four-year member of the Women’s Golf Team. She earned her Master’s of Education in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University where she now serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching a class in Sport and Entertainment Event Development (S.E.E.D) where students gain hands-on experience organizing sporting events from start to finish.
