Ian Seymour
Director of Operations

Ian has wanted to be a golf professional since he was little, and as the Director of Operations, he is able to do something he loves while giving back to the community at the same time.

Ian first started with First Tee – Greater Richmond in 2018 as a part-time coach before joining the organization full time in 2019. As the Director of Operations, Ian oversees memberships, inventory, and food and beverage operations at all three First Tee – Greater Richmond facilities.

Ian is a PGA Professional member.

A Virginia Tech graduate, Ian loves getting out on the Pete Dye River Course whenever he gets back to Blacksburg. He is a fan of Mike Strantz courses, too, enjoying both Tobacco Road and Royal New Kent.

A native of upstate New York, Ian moved to Richmond in 2016 after graduating from Virginia Tech and lives with his wife Kayla and daughter Ailina. When he isn’t on the course, you’ll still find him outside hiking, kayaking or playing the guitar.
