Join Us at First Tee – Greater Richmond’s Champions Days!

First Tee – Greater Richmond will once again host its Champions Days, welcoming deserving students from across the greater Richmond area.

Champions Days will run April 26-28, with all three First Tee – Greater Richmond facilities hosting events. Belmont (Henrico) will host on Tuesday, April 26, with The Elson Redmond Memorial Driving Range (Richmond) hosting on Wednesday, April 27. The Tattersall Youth Development Center (Chesterfield) will wrap the three days of Champions Days on Thursday, April 28.

Physical education teachers within the greater Richmond area schools systems are encouraged to nominate deserving third, fourth and fifth-grade students – one male and one female in each grade. Schools can choose which day and location is best for them.

Champions Days will give students an opportunity to apply their knowledge and showcase their skills learned in physical education classes at one of First Tee – Greater Richmond’s three facilities. Students will rotate through a variety of stations including a combination of golf skills, First Tee life skills lessons and STEM curriculum in conjunction with lessons provided by the the United States Golf Association as an exciting way to educate young people using the game of golf.

Teachers are asked to RSVP no later than Monday, Jan. 31 using the form below. If you have any questions concerning Champions Days, please reach out to Mary Kirkman, Program Coordinator, at [email protected].
